Erlios Backup
Erlios Backup offers easy and powerful ways of making automatic backups of your important files and folders. It makes a backup of your data to another directory, disk or computer across the network. Backed-up files are stored in deduplicated and compressed form, significantly reducing storage requirements and cost of your backup system. Erlios Backup arranges backups as timeline "snapshots", providing easy to use model of backup and restore operations.
Once configured, Erlios Backup monitors the "sources" for changes or updates and copies new or changed files to the "destination snapshot". This process is done automatically in the background, according to selected scheduling. Erlios Backup can run as a Windows service for unattended backups. It also has Windows Explorer integration for easy configuration process.
Erlios Backup deduplication and compression features significantly reduce disk space occupied by multiple backup snapshots and thus reducing cost of your backup system. At that, it allows you to have many historical snapshots of your data and increase overall security of your system.
Erlios Backup is built on top of 64-bits fault tolerant transactional storage engine offering incredible performance and reliability of backed-up data even in case of the system crash.

Erlios is a private software development company founded in 2009. Erlios Backup for Windows is our first publicly released software.
